The Honors Section is open to students enrolled in the Honors College. In addition, those students who have an exceptional record of past performance and who have the permission of the instructor may apply to the instructor and to the Honors College.
The Honors Section follows the same outline and course format as the basic course. This applies to the screenings, reading assignments, class attendance, and participation. In addition, honors students will be part of an Honors Seminar with the following requirements:
I. SEMINAR MEETINGS -
The Honors Seminar will have additional one and one half-hour discussion sessions. The Seminar will meet Mondays from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center conference room.

Students are to read the entire book and to choose any of the sections outlined below as a topic for a report to the Seminar (a sign-up sheet is attached).
III. ADDITIONAL SCREENINGS -
In addition to the readings, students in the honors seminar are requested to screen films by Ingmar Bergman. UMBC owns Wild Strawberries. Many additional titles are available from local video stores. Group projects are encouraged! Please sign-up on the attached sheet.
