In this Internet era, the use of office hours for dealing with most course-related issues is obsolete and ineffective. I will respond quickly to your email inquiries (emurian@umbc.edu) and bulletins placed on Blackboard for my courses. I do, however, value personal relationships with students and colleagues, and I am always willing to meet with you in person for any reason. Please contact me if you would like to meet in person.
