
Greg Giannascoli, world-renowned Marimba artist and winner of the 2001 Artist International New York Recital Debut Competition, received his
doctorate from Rutgers University where he studied with William Moersch. He currently teaches at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, where
he received his Bachelor of Music Degree and studied under Dean Witten. Many of his students have been accepted to The Curtis Institute of Music,
Julliard, Manhattan, Oberlin, Peabody, and Eastman schools of music.
He has performed extensively throughout North and South America including Carnegie Hall, Theatro Juarez in Mexico, and the Glenn Gould Studio in Canada. His performances have been presented on CBC, NPR radio and PBS TV. He has recently appeared as a soloist under Poland's Wroclaw Philharmonic.
Giannascoli's awards include a top prize at the 1997 Patrons of Wisdom International Young Artist Competition held in Toronto, Canada, and Rowan, Rutgers and Virginia Commonwealth University concerto competitions.
