Dr. Isenberg did his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and medical school at Tulane University. He completed residency training in general surgery followed by specialty training in reconstructive and hand surgery at Yale University and microsurgery at the University of Southern California, where he was on the faculty. His science training was obtained at the NIH where he did a post-doctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. David Roberts. He is presently Visiting Associate Professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Medicine of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a Principal Investigator in the Vascular Medicine Institute.
