Running Xming
You're looking to launch Xming (there are a couple of other utilities that come with it)
The first time you run Xming, you may need to tell Windows to unblock Xming — click Unblock
At this point you should notice an “X” in the system tray
Now, in PuTTy we need to enable X11 forwarding, under X11
Check the Enable X11 forwarding checkbox
Under the host name, enter linux.gl.umbc.edu, click Open
Enter your myUMBC username
Enter your myUMBC password
At this point you can tunnel back X applications, such as XEmacs
