Welcome To C-hour

This has been designed to help you:

1. develop your listening and speaking skills
2. learn French within a current and authentic cultural framework
3. improve your syntactic skills

To achieve these goals, your C-Hour is divided into two distinct learning events which have been scheduled on a biweekly sequence.

You have registered for a specific C-hour time . This means that this time has been allocated for you and your classmates for you to come to the International Media Center and use the computers on a biweekly sequence.

Check your C-Hour syllabus to find out more about your lab schedule.

During your scheduled lab C-Hour, you are expected to practice your listening and spaeking skills using the Tell Me More software.

What should you do in Tell Me More?

1. Log on. For name, put your UMBC user id and your password is the last four numbers of your social security number.

Choose the Free to Roam button (not guided)

2. Check on your syllabus to see which lesson you should use

3. Go to the dialog and practice with the sentences. If you get tired, go ahead and listen to the video or play with the other exercises available. You should spend around an hour of your time for each session (minimum requirement, 30 minutes per lesson).
