History

The Hearing Rehabilitation Laboratory (HRL) was established in 1993 as the home site for a consortium of clinical research centers participating in an NIH-funded program of research: Psychosocial and Behavioral Adjustment to Hearing Loss (R01DC-01091). Co-Directors of the laboratory are Marilyn E. Demorest and Sue Ann Erdman. Since 1993, the laboratory has served as a training facility for graduate and undergraduate students; Joanna R. Bezek-Balcombe served as Research Assistant and Laboratory Co-ordinator from 1993-1997. The HRL is located in the Social Sciences building, Room 412.
