I am an assistant professor of Language, Literacy & Culture and affiliate assistant professor of Gender & Women's Studies at UMBC. My research connects issues of language, region, education, race/ethnicity, gender, and other social factors, especially as they face speakers of Southern English and African Ameriacn English.
