Short Shift Kits: $40-200

A short shift kit will shorten the throw when shifting. Usually there are a few positions you can set the shift kit to, 30%, 50%. The larger the percentage the shorter the throw, but at the same time the shorter the throw the more notchy the shifting will feel and also the harder it will be to shift, BUT you will have a much shorter shift which will allow faster shifts. Installation of these is quite simple the hardest part is getting to it, at the same time of installing a short shift kit it may be a good idea to replace any shifter bushings that may be worn out causing loose, sloppy shifting.
