IS698: Special Topics in Information Systems: Assistive Technology

Instructor: Dr. Amy Hurst

Assistive technologies empower many individuals to achieve things that they might not have been able to otherwise. This class will serve as an introduction to the design, development and evaluation of a range of assistive technologies. Students will interact with the material through reading relevant literature, interacting with current technology, participating in group discussions and debates, and listening to guest speakers. Students will apply their knowledge in a research project where they will design, implement, and test an assistive technology.
