Course Descriptions

 

IS 125-Information Systems Logic & Structured Design-A Problem Solving Approach

This course teaches students how to create structured solutions along with the relevant logic to various business problems as a basis for development of information systems/applications. During the instruction concepts of data representation and data modeling such as flow-charts, logic diagrams, data dictionaries, interactivity charts, algorithms, etc. are discussed. The course is designed to provide students with insights for object oriented system design.

IS 300-Management Information Systems-An overview perspective

his course is designed to provide an overview of design, implementation, and strategic use of modern, computer-based information systems in business, data processing, office automation, information reporting, and decision-making. Various information systems security measures and controls are discussed within the scope of this course. Students are also provided with insights for aligning business and IT efforts.

I was responsible for creating content for MG 513, an online Management Information Systems course for MBA program offered by ITT Tech., Inc. I developed course content including course description, course objectives & enabling objectives, lesson strategies & outline, an array of topics and related content. I was also responsible for developing grading instruments such as online discussions, quizzes, exams, projects, case studies, etc.

I was made responsible for tutoring students with academic learning disability with variety of their academic needs including proctoring their exams. As a part of my duties I also assisted with administrative tasks in the department including reporting activities.

In addition I also volunteered for working as a liaison between IT team & Sales department for the Vadodara branch. Within the scope of the latter responsibilities I played an instrumental role in developing inventory tracking, stock planning, logistics information systems using MS-Access and Excel.
