If you are begining to learn
about Intelligent Agent Technologies, below are
some really helpful pages to begin with.
www. AgentLand.com
Agentland.com
is a commercial web site managed and owned by Cybion,
a French company specialized in online information
research. In addition to their own products they
offer researchers with not so rich research resources
categorized by Publications, People, Projects, Books,
Journals, Organizations, etc. The coolest part,
I think is the list of agents they offer; some of
them are downloadable provided they work. All resources,
again, revolve around Europe.
www.AgentLink.org
A European
Network funded by the European Commission and managed
by Department of Electronics and
Computer Science, University of Southampton, UK;
is a premier network of resources for researchers
and
developers in Agent Technologies more so for developers.
It is a fine collection of agent events, agent software
and agents-related projects mainly in the European
part of the globe. You need to be a member of the
organization to avail their services and memberships
are provided only to institutions. However, membership
is free, not of tidious registration process though.
Agents Portal
Agents Portal
is a collection of resources according Projects,
People, Books, Forums, etc. This site is an initiative
from Sehl Mellouli, a Ph.D. student at Laval University
and Houssein Ben-Ameur researcher at CIRANO and
another Ph.D. student at Montreal University. One
helpful resource on this web page is the list of
events in chronological order.
AgentWeb
@ UMBC
This is a
great research resource for anyone begining to learn
about agent systems, multi-agent systems, or any
other peripherial subject. The agents resource page
is maintained by computer science department at
UMBC and edited by Tim Finin & Yannis Labrou.
The Web portal is categorized by Events, Institutes,
People, Products, Publications, News, etc. Not only
this, the portal provides some major resources for
finding funding or publication avenues for research
in the area of Agent Technologies.
Agent-Based
Systems
This page
is maintained by Sverker
Janson at Swedish
Institute of Computer Science. The portal is
unique in its Knowledge organization in Agents by
categories. It is categorized in specific by aspects
of Agent Technologies. For example, Agent Types,
Agent Coordination, etc. In addition there is a
rich list of Readings, Bibliographies, Standars,
other Web Resources, etc.
Agents
Page at AAAI.org
This agents
page is maintained by AAAI.org.
This is one of the most comprehensive resource page
in the area of Artificial Intelligence. AAAI has
gathered resources in all web intelligence techniques
including NLP, Agents, Speech-Based Systems, Robotics,
Expert Systems and so on. The agents page is a collection
of small knowledgebases in Intelligent Agent Technology.
