Course objectives:
This course serves as an introduction to the theory of analytic functions of one complex variable. Topics include elementary complex functions, complex integration, power series expansions, residue theory, and conformal mapping. The goal is to cover most material from chapters 1 through 7 in the textbook.


Schedule:
A tentative schedule will be posted here, and will be continuously updated.


Assignments:
Homework (posted on Blackboard) will usually be assigned once a week and will be due a week later at the beginning of class. I encourage you to discuss homework problems with colleagues, but the write-up should be the result of individual work only.

Tests:
There will one midterm exam and a final exam. We will observe the final exam schedule of the University.


Grading policy:
Homework- 30%, Tests - 30 % each, Final Exam - 40%

Score above 90% 80% 65% 50 % otherwise
Letter grade A B C D F
